Hello

Hi. I'm Kate Sherlock and I am a qualified teacher with a BA (hons) in History and Humanities and a PGCE in Primary Education.

 

Before founding Kate Sherlock Tutoring, I taught at Thames View Primary school in Rainham for 9 years and previous to that I have taught in Holywell school in Upchurch, Richmond school on the Isle of Sheppey and in two schools in Essex.

My teaching experience spans 28 year + and I have now taught children from YR to Y10 in maths and English. I have experience of teaching children with special educational needs including children with Irlen syndrome, ADHD, Autism and Downes Syndrome and, more recently, I have helped children who have anxiety and find school daunting to foster a love of learning and two of them have since enrolled back into their main stream schools.

I also taught in Japan at the beginning of my teaching career as an EFL teacher. That was a fantastic experience and children with English as a foreign language have made accelerated progress in my classes.

I enjoy seeing my children reach their full potential and fostering confidence and resilience in my pupils.
