I deliver bespoke face to face lessons that are tailored to your child's needs. I work alongside the child's school work to allow them to understand and master concepts that they may have found challenging in a school setting and I push them forward to help them reach their full potential. I do this by teaching a range of strategies and make learning fun.

A few minutes are given at the end of each lesson to talk about your child's  learning.  Often these might be longer chats if there is time and if not, I am available to telephone or text  either from 7-9pm or during the school day.

I am happy to have a consultation on the telephone and quick chat at the start of the first lesson to answer any questions and settle the child into the space. I provide a homely environment where the child will feel comfortable to learn at their own pace as I believe that a happy child learns.

If a child cannot make a group lesson, I will try to include them in another lesson that week. If a child in a 1-2-1 setting is ill or has a school trip etc, I will try my best to find another slot that week where I can teach them (which will often be a Saturday morning slot) so that the child still gets consistency in learning.

Photos of your child's work or them working are sent via WhatsApp at the end of a lesson (and then deleted from my device, per GDPR) so that you can see what your child is learning in class, especially when it is more hands on learning - such as through games or building shapes or writing using white boards. I have lots of equipment and games to aid learning.

11+ pupils are given priority in the Summer holidays where children sitting the Kent test or local grammar school tests are able to plug any gaps.  I also run a week of mock tests in August then  I go through test techniques after each test. These are invaluable as  they are just before the actual test. Mock tests are also offered in April as an introduction to timings and familiarizing the children with the Kent or Medway test format.
